Dog Bites
The owner or a person who has custody of a dog will be liable for any vicious bites of the dog and the injuries they cause. The issues that have to be taken into consideration when determining liability are whether the dog has bitten on an earlier occasion or has inflicted damages pursuant to the command of the owner. The person whose negligence caused the dog bite, who has breached the prohibition of letting dogs run at large, or who has violated trespass laws applicable to dogs will be liable to pay compensation to the victim. Damages are determined based upon a strict liability theory.
